What is Acutonics
Acutonics is a holistic healing modality that combines principles from traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and sound therapy to promote overall health and well-being.
Acutonics has its roots in ancient Chinese medicine, which dates back thousands of years. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the concept of Qi (pronounced “chee”), the vital life force that flows through the body along meridians or energy pathways. Acupuncture, a well-known component of traditional Chinese medicine, involves inserting thin needles into specific points along these meridians to stimulate the body’s energy flow and promote healing.
Donna Carey and Marjorie de Muynck developed Acutonics as a modern adaptation of these ancient practices. They integrated the principles of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine with the use of precision-calibrated tuning forks, which emit specific frequencies to stimulate acupressure points, meridians, and energy centers. This fusion of ancient wisdom and modern technology became known as Acutonics.
